Mark Kolar brings 25 years of technology, business and networked physical security innovation, leadership, & relationships to the physical security market. He is currently an independent converged physical security consultant, working for himself at Kolar Consulting.
Prior to consulting, Mark was VP of Channels for the Americas at Agent Vi where he was responsible for constructing & directing Agent Vi's 1st formal channel & technology partnership programs in North, Central and South America.
Prior to that, Mark contributed to Cisco's early routing and switching success from 1992 until 1999 where he served as a Consulting Systems Engineer & CCIE. After a few startup ventures, Mark returned to Cisco in 2002 where he received officer-level approval to fund Cisco System's physical security initiative. He soon after filed & secured new patents, built global G2M strategies, and served in 2006-2007 as director of physical security in its worldwide channels organization. In this capacity, Mark established go-to-market and acquisition strategies, formed European and Emerging Markets virtual physical security teams, as well as designed, launched, and enhanced Cisco's worldwide physical security reseller and channel program.
Mark was also the lead fund raiser and co-founder of NetDestiny Systems where he served as interim CEO and assembled a team responsible for building a completely new breed of service provider and enterprise content networking solutions.
Before NetDestiny, Mark directed market development efforts for Loronix Information Systems, now known as Verint Video Solutions. He was responsible for managing strategic business development relationships that provided value added business opportunities for the company.
