Speaker Bio

Roger Rueda, PSP is currently a Senior Technical Consultant for Applied Risk Management, LLC (ARM), a security and risk management consulting firm. He has 22 years of industry experience in law enforcement, security management, security and building automation engineering, and project management. He has been a security consultant for the past 6 years, having led or participated in over 50 consulting engagements. He is co-author of the book "Security Design for Sustainable Buildings and Campuses".

The presentation will focus on the lack of integration of security in green building initiatives, and how security stakeholders can ensure that sustainability is not achieved at the expense of security. Rather, we will offer some simple practical solutions and experience in achieving the goals of both security and sustainability without sacrificing either.
