Speaker Bio

James J. Webster, is a nationally recognized physical security systems design specialist with a distinguished 35 year career in the security industry. As president of SDSC he is responsible for the everyday business operations of the firm and is its chief systems designer and analyst. Mr. Webster's daily activities include performing standards-based threat and vulnerability assessments and designing integrated security systems for a myriad of private and public sector users. His clients include national and international architectural firms, developers, engineering firms and end users. His designed systems are used by a diverse group of operators from Fortune 50 global corporations to regional school systems. His project portfolio includes projects as varied as custom software systems to support photo identification badging of two million people to fault tolerant global integrated security monitoring systems.

A seasoned professional with a wide range of industry experience, Mr. Webster's past career positions included security management, Central Station operations, sales management and marketing, and company ownership all in the security field. Mr. Webster graduated from King's College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and certification as a teacher in secondary education. Mr. Webster is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) as qualified by the American Society of Industrial security (ASIS) and a Certified Security Consultant (CSC) as certified by the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC) and has recently been awarded a certificate to administer and audit Supply Chain Security in accordance with ISO Standard 28000. He is a frequent speaker at regional and national industry conferences. He is also certified to conduct Threat and Vulnerability Assessments (including Teach-the-Teacher certification) by Sandia National Laboratories. He most recently presented at the GMIS (Government Management Information Sciences) conference on the topic of the integration of physical and logical security.

Led by a nationally recognized physical security systems design specialist, you'll explore real-world projects that have included Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) platforms, the challenges faced within those projects, and most importantly the lessons learned.
