Speaker Bio

Scott Soltis, CPP is currently the Director of International Security, at Abbott Laboratories. Prior to his current role, he was the Manager of Global Security Systems where he was responsible for the overall project management of the company's global enterprise access control system. Mr. Soltis has over 15 years experience in the security / law enforcement industry, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law Enforcement Administration from Western Illinois University and a Master of Arts Degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University. Mr. Soltis is Board Certified in Security Management through ASIS, International with the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation, and has received a Graduate Certificate in the ISMA International Leadership program from Georgetown University.

Mr. Soltis has subject matter expertise in the following areas: International Security, Corporate Business Risk Intelligence, Physical Security Technology Solutions, Corporate and criminal investigation, interview and interrogations; Safety and Security Operations Policy/Procedure Development and Management; Assessment and Mitigation Planning, Crisis Response, Emergency Management and Contingency Planning; and Global Security Threat Assessments

Mr. Soltis presented at the 2007 Secure World Expo on the Implementation of an Enterprise Security Management System, and has co-authored an article on the successes of implementing an enterprise access control system titled The plan's in the business details which was published in the May, 2006 edition of Security Magazine.
